When Sarah contacted me through a mutual friend, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. We didn’t exchange much information before the wedding, only minor details. Normally, I like to have a good talk about the wedding day with my clients, so I didn’t know what to expect flying all the way to Botswana. I was also incredibly sick with the flu leading up to the day of the wedding, so I was nervous I wouldn’t be at 100% to think creatively on my feet.
Well… apparently, we didn’t need to talk much, because everything instantly clicked.
Perhaps it was Sarah’s bright and warming personality, or maybe it was the beautiful bush that Sarah and Andre shared their nuptials in. Either way, I knew that this couple shared a captivating love story and I couldn’t have been more excited to capture it.
Oh yea, and the flu I had? It passed the day before the wedding. Good timing, huh?
This wedding will always be special to me because of how genuine and endearing Sarah and Andre are.
I wish you both the very best in the years to come and hope we meet again.
“Have a wonderful time, and don’t forget to write to me
Be like the swallows and remember home as a loving tree
I feel silence is best enjoyed with an open heart beating next to you
But for now be my darling and whisper your words to the rolling moon
Be my love when the fire is low
When the fire is low, when the fire”
